The OCSJM works closely with the Connecticut Catholic Public Affairs Conference and other partner organizations on public policies related to its social justice objectives. These objectives include the areas
of immigration, criminal justice, climate change, healthcare reform and assistance for the poor,
as well as opposition to the death penalty
and abortion.

Several of the organizations that OCSJM works
with receive funding from the Catholic Campaign
for Human Development. The activities of this Archdiocesan office always reflect the pro-life
positions of the Catholic Church.
In the Catholic tradition, responsible citizenship is a virtue; participation in the political process is a moral obligation.
