Bishop Joseph F. Donnelly Memorial AwardsThere are two awards presented at our annual Social Justice Dinner to recognize an individual and an organization that have demonstrated a strong commitment to social justice, and whose actions have had a significant impact on behalf of Catholic Social Teaching.
Recipients will have shown evidence of motivation by the principles of justice and charity revealed in Biblical literature and Church teachings. Their work will have made an impact on significant numbers of persons, or set a precedent or example which affected many. Their achievements will have supported progress towards eliminating social, economic or political injustice or discrimination, and towards guaranteeing basic human dignity and rights as defined in Catholic social teaching. |
