Youth and Young Adults:
"Two Feet of Love in Action" Summer Justice Program

Designed for young adults ages 18-21, this program offers an opportunity to "complete the LAP" -
Learn, Act and Pray about social justice issues with non-profit service agencies, and with communities where local challenges demand our attention and action.
During this 4-day residential program, participants will:
LEARN
- about the difference between social justice and direct service
- about leadership skills for change
- about social justice issues facing our communities
- about personal struggles, through stories and conversations
ACT
- to serve at local food pantries and homeless shelters
- to build community with each other and those they encounter
- to visit social change agencies
-to become a disciple of Christ with their peers
PRAY
- by participating in dynamic prayer experiences
- by listening to words of wisdom from scripture and Christian tradition
- by taking time for personal and group reflection
- by witnessing Christ in every encounter.
Space is limited.
Cost per person ($150) includes all housing and meals, a journal and a Certificate of Completion for the OCSJM Social justice Program.
Location, Housing, Transportation:
Participants will be staying at the Central Connecticut State University Newman House and we will be traveling into downtown Hartford, via the new CT Fast track system.
